Financial Aid

Available financial assistance:

          Bureau of Indian Affairs - The BIA is a program for Native Americans. For more information contact your tribe.

          Veterans Benefits - Notice to Veterans - Any student wishing to attend under VA assistance or GI Bill should check with his or her local office for the required forms. Bring these forms with you and our staff will be happy to fill in the necessary information.

          Vocational Rehabilitaion is a program developed for individuals who have injuries, physical handicaps, or learning disabilities. To apply, contact your local Vocational Rehabilitation Office.

         WIA (Workforce Investment Act) was developed for certain unemployed people. The rules for this program varies in each state. Please call for the location of your nearest WIA office.

          SLM Financial Corporation ( A Sallie Mae Company) - Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School Students may apply for loans under the Career Training Program Sponsored by SLM Financial Corporation (Sallie Mae Company). Applications and instructions are included with this package. Please contact the financial aid office at the Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School.

 

Veterans Information

Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School is approved for Veteran Training. Any student wishing to attend under V.A. assistance should check with their local office for the required forms. Bring these forms with you, and our secretary will be glad to fill in the necessary information.

Each V.A. student is required to pay the normal $100.00 deposit with his or her application. The balance is due the first day of class. V.A. students will be reimbursed according to V.A. rules and procedures. Any V.A. student wishing to withdraw from class will be reimbursed on a pro-rata basis, based on the number of days class has been in session.

Any V.A. student wishing to cancel enrollment before said class starts will be charged a $10.00 office fee, and the remainder of the tuition deposit will be reimbursed. Refunds are to be made within thirty days of cancellation.

Any V.A. student absent more than 4 (four) days, with 5 (five) tardies equaling one day, will be terminated. When excess absences are excused, each V.A. student may re-enroll in any future class session in order to finish the said course.

Veterans enrolled must be place on probation if not maintaining a passing grade after three weeks, and terminated if work is not brought up to a 75.
