THINGS TO DO

Southern Oklahoma offers recreational activities such as:
  • National Museum of Horse Shoeing Tools and Hall of Honor in Sulphur
  • Fishing in one of eight nearby lakes including Lake Murray and Lake Texoma
  • Camping and swimming at Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Turner Falls and the lakes
  • Golfing at Lake Murray, Ardmore’s Lakeview Golf Course, and Falconhead Resort
  • Antiquing and shopping in Ardmore’s Nationally Registered Historic Commercial District
  • Heritage tours at the Greater Southwest Historical Museum
  • Art gallery tours and performing arts at the Goddard Center
  • Weekly local amateur rodeos as well as frequently scheduled horse events at Hardy Murphy Coliseum
